# ADX

ADX is a technical indicator used to measure the strength of a trend, regardless of its direction. It ranges from 0 to 100.

* ADX below 20 indicates a weak or non-trending market.
* ADX above 25 suggests a strong trend, either upward or downward.

It is calculated using the positive and negative directional movement indicators (+DI and -DI) and helps traders decide whether to follow a trend or wait for clear signals. ADX does not indicate direction but only the intensity of a trend.
