# MFI

**The Money Flow Index (MFI)** is a momentum indicator that uses both price and volume to measure buying and selling pressure. Often referred to as the “volume-weighted RSI,” it helps identify overbought or oversold conditions in an asset.

* **MFI above 80** typically indicates an overbought market (potential for a downward correction).
* **MFI below 20** signals an oversold market (potential for an upward move).

By incorporating volume into the analysis, MFI provides a more comprehensive view of market strength than price-based indicators alone.
